Book with One Author Example and Style:

  • Format: Last Name, First Name. Title in Italics. Publication Location: Publisher, Publication Date.

 

  • Example: Strayed, Cheryl. Wild: From Lost to Found on the Pacific Crest Trail. New York: Alfred A. Knopf, 2012.

Book with Two Authors Example and Style:

  • Format: Last Name, First Name, and First Name and Last Name. Title in Italics. Publication Location: Publisher, publication date.

 

  • Example: Grazer, Brian, and Charles Fishman. A Curious Mind: The Secret to a Bigger Life. New York: Simon & Schuster, 2012.

Database Article Style and Example:

  • Format: Last name, First Name. "Title of Article in Quotations." Journal Title in Italics volume number, issue number (Publication Date in Parentheses): Complete Page Range. Access Date. Stable URL or DOI.

 

  • Example: Bagleym Benjamin.  "Loving Someone in Particular." Ethics 125, no. 2 (January 2015): 477-507. Accessed December 7, 2017. http://www.jstor.org/stable/1978286.

Website Article Style and Example:

  • Format: Owner/Sponser of the Site. "Title or Description of the Specfic Page in Quotations." Title or Description of the Page as a Whole, publication or revision date if available. Access date if no other date is available. URL.
